Architecture caught in the act of becoming.

In The Fold, form refuses to settle. Ribbons of structure curl and compress upon themselves, generating internal tensions that read less like engineering and more like weather a frozen moment of atmospheric force translated into built matter. Two pockets of green interrupt the kinetic mass, small and deliberate, like breath held inside a storm.

Where the earlier works in the Futuropia Cities series proposed cities that grow, The Fold proposes a city that moves. Or rather, one that has always been moving and that we are only now catching up to.

Di Nicolantonio works here at the edge of architectural representation, where the sketch becomes sculpture and the line becomes force. The hand is visible everywhere. That is the point.
